Brian A. PalmerCostume Designer
Brian is a local costume designer located in Columbus, Ohio. He joined the Columbus theatrical community in the fall of 2012 in Hilliard Arts Council's production of Sylvia. Brian's debut as a costume designer was Out of the Box Community Theatre’s 2015 production of And Then There Were None. |
As a costume designer, Brian believes that it is through the right costume that an actor is able to truly adopt a character and aide the audience in becoming completely engrossed in the world of the story. When one, either performer or observer, is able to completely focus on the story and not be distracted by various elements, this is when they are able to fully absorb the message being communicated. It is with this belief that Brian has worked at developing his skills in over 26 productions around Columbus.
Brian has recently started to branch into the realm of historical costuming, the exploration of garment construction and fashion from various historical periods and locations.
